Let yourself be transported back to the 17th century and discover the fascinating story of the Marquis de Vauban!
From the Spanish siege of Arras to the construction of the Citadel, colourful characters, choreographed scenes, thrilling battles, numerous horses, cannon fire, flamboyant costumes and a carriage will transport you to a timeless world within the exceptional walls of the Citadel of Arras!
Theatre, music, dance and equestrian acrobatics transport you into the story of a fascinating life: that of a great engineer, visionary and military architect driven by curiosity, passion, courage and humanism: Sébastien Le Prestre, Marquis de Vauban.
All set to an original score by Gilles Prevel, performed by the Vauban Orchestra and its 50 musicians

For a total immersion in the history of the Pays d'Artois, a seventeenth century village will be established on the Place d'Armes. It will bring to life period scenes, unveil trades of yesteryear and among many other discoveries will offer an inn where it will be good to come and quench your thirst and have a snack (fast food)
Village, historical activities on the Place d'Armes and exhibition will be free to access.
