SPECTACLE VAUBAN
A succesfull second edition!
Nearly 9,000 spectators were transported back to the 17th century to discover the fabulous story of Sébastien Le Prestre, Marquis de Vauban! From the siege of Arras by the Spanish to the construction of the Citadel, colorful characters, dances, fights, horses, cannon fire, flamboyant costumes and a carriage took you into a timeless journey, within the exceptional Vauban Citadel in Arras!
A huge thank you to the public, and also to those who braved the rain on the first day! Your applause, encouragement and standing ovations go straight to our hearts and spur us on to improve even more!

Entertainment free access
For a total immersion in the history of the Pays d'Artois, a 17th-century village was set up on Place d'Armes. It brought to life period scenes, revealed trades of yesteryear and, among many other discoveries, offered an inn where it was good to come and quench your thirst and have a snack (fast food).
Village, historical activities on the Place d’Armes and exhibition are freely accessible.

ACCESS
Le spectacle s’est tenu sur la place d’Armes, à la Citadelle d’Arras, Boulevard du Général de Gaulle. Stationnement obligatoire à l’extérieur de la citadelle sur le parking gratuit fléché boulevard du Général de Gaulle (sauf PMR). >> Google access map
Entrance on foot through the Royal Gate. Place d'Armes. Arrive 1/2 hour before. A PRM car park in the citadel is dedicated to people with reduced mobility.
Very young children not recommended. A hat or cap is recommended in case of bright sunshine. The rain cape or poncho is recommended in case of rain so as not to disturb other spectators.
